Members of Eccles Borough band and Sale Band competed together on Whit Friday. Sale’s conductor Steve Shawcross took the ‘Eccles and Sale Band’ to seven contests, Stalybridge Celtic, Millbrook, Carrbrook, Hurst Village, Friezland, The Bush Hotel Droylsden and Denton Cricket Club.

The band was the highest placed 4th Section band at both Millbrook and Carrbrook.
