I started playing cornet for Eccles in 1984 when I was 8 years old, where I played for 4 years. I moved to Cadishead Band in 1988 and played there until 1992. After a couple of years away from banding I joined Trafford Band for a year in 1995 until I left to study music at Huddersfield University. I have since had ten years without playing and rejoined Eccles Borough Band in October 2006. I moved onto Principal Cornet during the summer of 2007 until the end of 2009.
